BizScraper ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BizScraper desktop application and website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

We collect the following information when you use BizScraper:

Account information: Email address and hashed password when you register.
Usage data: Search queries (business type and location), number of leads extracted, and credit transactions. This data is stored to show you your search history and credit balance.
Device information: Basic information such as operating system version, used solely for support and compatibility purposes.
Payment data: We do not store card numbers or payment details. Payments are processed by Razorpay and governed by their privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate, and maintain the BizScraper service.
To manage your account and credit balance.
To send transactional emails (password reset, purchase receipts).
To improve and personalise your experience.
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

5. Third-Party Services

BizScraper uses the following third-party services:

Google Maps API: Used to query live business data during searches. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Razorpay: Payment processing for credit purchases and subscriptions. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

The BizScraper desktop app uses local storage to save your authentication token and theme preference on your device. The website does not use tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
